Last year I was at home in July and I took many photos in my Sestri Levante and, above all, in my beloved Baia del Silenzio.

Un bel palazzo in Corso Colombo a Sestri Levante.
Cerco sempre di pubblicare fotografie di cose meno comuni e not di Sestri Levante (anche se la maggioranza delle mie foto ritraggono sempre la Baia del Silenzio).
In questo caso un bel palazzone, in Corso Colombo, proprio di fronte alla casa dove nacque Giovanni Descalzo.

The buildings that housed the offices of Fit in Sestri
I'll tell you right away: the title may not be correct since these buildings have been used in different ways over the years.
From what I believe they were part of the offices of the former Fit-Ferrotubi, the huge factory from the beginning of the last century. Later transformed into the headquarters of some municipal offices and planned to become the new headquarters of the Sestre Carabiniri.
For those who don't know this place, we are at the point where Viale Dante joins Via Nazionale.

Il simbolo di Sestri Levante: la Baia del Silenzio.
Il simbolo della mia cittadina, una delle baie più famose della mia regione, dove le case dei pescatori (una volta) si costruirono a pochi passi dal mare.
I colori pastello, le acque trasparenti ed una calma (non in estate) che hanno dato il nome a questa insenatura: la Baia del Silenzio appunto!
La foto è stata scattata a fine maggio 2023.

The central Viale Dante in Sestri Levante.
The straight road that starts from the historic center and branches off until it reaches the Gromolo stream.
In this stretch, on the left of the photo, the town's elementary schools.
The pavement has recently (a few years) been renewed and restructured and now hosts both a short cycle path (not very functional) and these little trees.

La Baia del Silenzio nel mese di ottobre del 2022.
In questo sito trovere decine di foto simili a questa perchè io non mi stanco mai a fotografare la baia del Silenzio.
Certe volte, anzi sempre, cerco di cambiare punto di vista, i colori, il momento…
Sempre bellissima secondo me, comunque!

Il palazzo dell’Hotel Celeste a Sestri Levante.
Molte volte, percorrendo la passeggiata a mare di Sestri, Lungomare Giovanni Descalzo, ho osservato questo palazzone moderno che ospita l’hotel Celeste.

Una Madonnina in via Asilo Maria Teresa a Sestri Levante.
Passeggiando per la mia Sestri cerco sempre di inquadrare oggetti o particolari inediti per condividerli e, magari, ottenere qualche informazione in più cercando online oppure aspettando che qualche visitatore aggiunga qualche notizia.
In questo caso la mia attenzione si è posta su questa piccola Madonnina che spunta dal muro che delimita via Asilo Maria Teresa e, vista la posizione, immagino che sia una statuetta di quello che era l’asilo.

La strada, che credo una volta fosse l’Aurelia, attorno alla quale sono nati, una ventina di anni fa, alcuni nuovi caseggiati nella area della ex FIT Ferrotubi.

Dove si trova il punto in cui ho scattato:
Il Cavalier Vincenzo Fascie è una figura fondamentale per la città di Sestri Levante. Infatti alla sua morte, avvenuta il 28 dicembre 1920, lasciò tutti i suoi beni alla città, “nello scopo sacrosanto di apportare qualche vantaggio industriale e di benessere e di progresso alla mia città natale”.

La Baia delle Favole di Sestri Levante un pomeriggio di marzo.
Una delle due baie della mia cittadina (l’altra è la Baia del Silenzio) fotografata lo scorso marzo al tramonto.
Forse non tutti sanno che il nome Baia delle Favle fu dato dal compianto Enzo Tortora durante la trasmissione Campanile Sera andata in onda proprio dalla cittadina ligure.
