Il ponte ferroviario di Campomorone.
Qualche tempo fa (molti mesi a dire il vero) sono stato a fare una bella passeggiata tra un paio di forti che “difendono” Genova.
Da uno di questi, Forte Diamante, forse il più noto e bello, sono riuscito a scattare alcune foto (non moltissime purtroppo a causa della foschia che riempiva l’aria quel giorno) di alcuni particolari.
Come questo bel ponte ferroviario che, cercando in rete, ho scoperto sia quello di Campomorone (un piccolo centro della periferia genovese) di fine 1800.

Il viadotto di Campomorone fa parte della linea Succursale dei Giovi (secondo valico), che unisce Genova a Torino,
la diramazione per Milano avviene tra Arquata e Serravalle Scrivia.

Mi piace andare sulle alture e fotografare la mia cittadina nei particolari.
Non avendo il drone preferisco fare le foto dall’alto vecchio stile.
Qui ero sopra le “mimose” uno dei miei luoghi preferiti!

The famous Sapa station in Vietnam

The famous Sa Pa station in Vietnam.
One of the most convenient ways to get to the famous region in the North of Vietnam is the night train. Unfortunately, the train does not arrive in the town but you have to stop about fifty kilometers away.
In the village of Sa Pa there is still the station and it is very beautiful to visit.
Obviously, you can also notice, the French-influenced style (Liberty?) is very characteristic and makes this building one of the monuments of the town.
It is the station from which the rack railway departs that takes you to the cable car to the top of Phan Xi Pang, the highest mountain in all of Indochina.

Train street ad Hanoi

Train street ad Hanoi.
Uno dei luoghi (non storici) più famosi e visitati di Hanoi, la capitale del Vietnam.
In cosa consiste? Semplice: un binario che passa a pochi metri dalle case; case che con il tempo sono diventate caffè e bars per turisti che amano scattare le foto al passaggio dei convogli (un paio al giorno).
Un pochino pericoloso sicuramente visto il continuo aumentare del numero dei turisti. Quando sono stato lì io nessun treno è passato per cui non ho immagini col treno, da regalarvi.
Sono riuscito ad andarci nella mia fugace visita alla città perché proprio il giorno successivo abbiamo letto online che la polizia non faceva più andare i turisti. Non so come sia la situazione al momento.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
Colorful houses, anarchic traffic, lots of trees and ponds, street food… all in Hanoi.
These particular houses are the ones on one side of the very famous Train Street, the narrow street where you can have a coffee sitting a few centimeters from the railway tracks where (once or twice a day) a train actually passes.
In recent days, probably the one after I took this photo, they have forced these cafes to close because they are too dangerous… I am tired of seeing if the measure will have an effect and if it will be permanent.
The whole city is beautiful, in any case.

Hanoi's urban landscape is characterized by the presence of numerous lakes (such as the central Lake of the Restored Sword) as well as several religious buildings, mainly Confucian and Taoist (the Temple of Literature and the Ngoc Son Temple) but also Catholic (such as St. Joseph's Cathedral). Its old city also has a large number of Buddhist pagodas.

Sottopasso verso il mare

Sottopasso verso il mare.
Con la ferrovia che costeggia il mare, lungo tutta la costa che dalle gallerie di Sestri Levante va fino a Chiavari, gli unici passaggi per il mare sono questi sottopassi.
Spesso piccoli ed angusti, invasi dall’acqua in inverno, altre volte spaziosi e puliti.
Questo per esempio è a Cavi Borgo, una finestra sul mare.

Uno dei punti più famosi di Flam è la sua antica stazione dei treni da cui partono molte escursioni.

Flåm è un villaggio norvegese di circa 500 abitanti, nella parte finale dell’Aurlandsfjord, una diramazione del Sognefjord. Il villaggio è collocato nel comune di Aurland, nella contea di Vestland, in Norvegia. È toccato dalla strada europea E16. Il toponimo Flåm compare nel 1340 come Flaam. Esso deriva dal dativo plurale della parola flá che significa “piana, ampio pezzo di terra”, e si riferisce alle pianure alluvionali create dal fiume Flåm.

Il mercato di Maeklong noto come il train market

Il mercato di Maeklong noto come il train market.
Uno dei posti più strani che ho visitato in Thailandia è questo mercato che è famoso perché è attraversato da un binario ferroviario che è attivo. Si chiama Maeklong Railway Market ed è ad un centinaio di chilometri da Bangkok. Come potete vedere è situato nei pressi di una piccola stazione ferroviaria e si sviluppa lungo il binario; tutte le volte che passa un treno le bancarelle devono tirare indietro i tavoli, i turisti (e gli avventori) si scansano, ed il treno passa.
Non è un mercatino, leggo su wikipedia che è persino uno dei più grandi della Thailandia per il pesce fresco.
