Uno scorcio di Varese Ligure e del ponte Grecino.
A spasso per il piccolo borgo di Varese Ligure che è sì famoso per la piazza rotonda (da cui il soprannome di Borgo Rotondo) ma ha anche un altro paio di punti interessanti.
Come il ponte Grecino che in questo scatto è fotografato dalla zona chiamata appunto quartiere Grecino.

Commissioned by the Fieschi family for the control and defense of the Varese territory, it is made up of identical stone houses arranged along the perimeter which, with an elliptical shape, enclose the two main squares (Piazza Fieschi and Piazza Castello), where the commercial activities, warehouses and laboratories were located in the underlying porticoes.

Devo ammettere che l’ultima volta che sono stato a Varese Ligure per fare una gitarella (e ormai sono passati diversi mesi) ho fatto incetta di foto splendide da pubblicare qui sul mio sito.
Come questo splendido scorcio, della parte di Levante del borgo.

Il centro del Borgorotondo di Varese Ligure

Il centro del Borgorotondo di Varese Ligure.
Dall’ultima volta che sono stato nel bel borgo di varese Ligure avanzo ancora una splendida immagine delle case e dei portici che si affacciano sulla piazzetta centrale (piazza Fieschi) da cui la cittadina prende il nome di borgo Rotondo.

Due passi e molti scatti nella sempre splendida Varese Ligure, il famoso Borgorotondo nell’entroterra di Sestri Levante lungo la strada provinciale che congiunge la Riviera con l’Emilia Romagna.

The church of Sant’Anna in Valletti

The church of Sant’Anna in Valletti.
Several months ago now (and you can see it from the snow) I was in this small town (perhaps calling it a town is even too much) called Valletti, in the municipality of Varese Ligure, where one of my friends has a house.
Walking along the road we arrived at the church of Sant’Anna which I photographed and filmed with the drone.
It was really very cold and there was also a persistent and icy wind so I wasn’t able to take many more shots than the one I’m posting below.

La neve a Centocroci lo scorso inverno

La neve a Centocroci lo scorso inverno.
Lo scorso inverno, dopo moltissimo tempo, ero stato a fare due passi sulla neve.
Complice una bella nevicata siamo stati (con alcuni amici) fino al passo di Centocroci vicino a Varese Ligure.
Moltissima neve e foto con il bianco come protagonista!

Il passo di Centocroci (Sentu Cruxe in ligure), è un valico posto alla quota di 1055 metri sul livello del mare che separa la Val di Vara dall’Emilia, aprendosi sul crinale alcuni chilometri a nordovest del monte Gottero, nell’Appennino ligure.

Vicolo di Varese Ligure

Vicolo di Varese Ligure.
Un bello scorcio di Varese Ligure nella parte a Ponente del Torrente Crovana.
Non sono sicurissimo ma credo che questa parte del borgo sia chiamata il quartiere Grecino, come il ponte che lo collega con il centro della cittadina.

Il ponte antico sul torrente Crovana a Varese Ligure

Il ponte antico sul torrente Crovana a Varese Ligure.
Il ponte Grecino, che dal ‘500 rende possibile attraversare il torrente Crovana (affluente del Vara) per congiungere il piccolissimo quartiere chiamato Grecino (Grexino) con il centro della città.

Varese Ligure from the Grecino bridge

Varese Ligure from the Grecino bridge
The houses of the village of Varese overlooking the Vara River. In this beautiful town, in addition to the famous Piazza Fieschi, the round square that also gives the village its nickname, there is also the beautiful and ancient Grecino bridge.
From above the bridge you can see what is normally the back of the houses in the alley of Varese.
