A glimpse of via Giuseppe Garibaldi in Sestri Levante. A small street, just behind the sea front, but truly characteristic and called (once) the “caruggiu de l’ou” because there were deposits of some metals, mainly sulphides in the form of pyrite and chalcopyrite, extracted in the nearby hinterland.

Nightlife in the center of Sestri Levante in summer. Surely compared to years ago, there are fewer people in the summer evenings in Sestri. Previously, young people crowded the historic center and then continued the evening at the Piscina dei Castelli. In recent years, evening tourism has changed and there are many more tourists who crowd the many (many more than years ago) restaurants in the center that then, at a certain time, give way to hordes of millennials who also make a lot (too much?) of noise. This, all in all, is not a shot in which you can see a large crowd... it is the archway of Via Garibaldi that hosts a few tables at the back of a well-known restaurant; all in all, a corner of Sestri where the nightlife is still moderate!

The little, little-known street called Giuseppe Garibaldi in Sestri Levante. One of the alleys perhaps less known, or at least less frequented, in my Sestri Levante. If it weren't for that beautiful fish, painted on the facade of the building in Piazza Matteotti, almost no one would notice it. Instead, I really enjoy walking along it!

The typical via Giuseppe Garibaldi in Sestri Levante. One of the most characteristic alleys of the historic center of my Sestri Levante (which then continues into vico Marina di Ponente) with the beautiful archive. Overlooking this alley are the back rooms of the various restaurants and pizzerias on the seafront promenade which over the years have become places where tables can be added to welcome tourists (with an even more homely and private feel).

The buildings of Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. Sestri Levante is not a big town but no matter how you look around you can always find glimpses to photograph. This is one of the peaks of the historic center, it is located just behind the restaurants and pizzerias that overlook the seafront. In fact, there are the back rooms of Don Luigi, Brigantino and further on Riri as well as the Basquiat bar. In the summer these alleys also come alive and fill up (so to speak given the lack of space) with tables full of hungry tourists!
