In Via Garibaldi in front of the Palazzo del Comune of Genoa is the vico del Duca. The caruggio is called this way precisely because of the name of the palace of the Duke of Tursi, seat of the first citizen of Genoa. Tursi is a town in Basilicata that was granted as a fief in 1552 to Admiral Andrea Doria as a marquisate (later duchy) by Emperor Charles V.
