The votive shrine of Vico San Pietro della Porta in Genoa

L'Edicola di Vico San Pietro della Porta a Genova

The Newsstand in Vico San Pietro della Porta in Genoa.
There are many newsstands (which are not only small shops that sell newspapers but also small structures that house sacred images or statues) in the alleys of Genoa.
Every time I walk, armed with a camera, in the historic center I immortalize one that I had probably never seen before.
This is in a beautiful corner of Vico San Pietro, a few steps from Piazza Banchi.

The church of San Luca in the alleys of Genoa

La chiesa di San Luca nei vicoli di Genova

The church of San Luca in the alleys of Genoa.
In the heart of the historic center, in one of the most central neighborhoods (that of Maddalena) stands the little church from the end of the 1400s.
In addition to the little church, very pretty, there is also the alley of the same name.

Here is where the church is located:

The façade that opens onto Piazza San Luca, actually a small widening along the street of the same name, has a salient structure. The central part is divided into two bands superimposed by a cornice richly decorated with bas-reliefs and ideally supported by two smooth Corinthian pilasters: in the lower part of the façade opens the portal, with a marble tympanum, while in the upper part there is a lunette window.
