The lines of the roofs of the alleys.
Obviously I always like to photograph my Sestri Levante and in particular the alleys of the historic center.
This photo, taken a few months ago, I took it while I was trying to document one of the three houses of the vine (here if you want to know more) that are in Sestri.
In this shot I liked the lines of the roofs in contrast with the street lamp.

The name of this market comes from the word Bucceria, taken from the French boucherie, which means butcher's shop. The market was in fact initially intended for slaughter (and in the Angevin era one was built) and for the sale of meat. Later it became a market for the sale of fish, fruit and vegetables. In ancient times it was called "the great Bucciria" to distinguish it from the smaller markets. "Vuccirìa" in Palermo means "Confusion". Today, the confusion of overlapping voices and the shouts of the sellers (the abbanniati) is one of the elements that most characterizes this Palermo market.

According to some historical sources, the toponym of the town derives from Bulnetia or Bodetia, names that appear in some writings of the early Middle Ages. Other sources, considered more valid, would instead lead to the ancient term Vallis Bonazolae, indicating that coastal area between the present-day towns of Framura, to the west, and Levanto to the east.

Foto di Chiavari scattata ormai diverso tempo fa.
Mi capita spesso di scattare molte foto e di parcheggiarle in attesa del momento di poca ispirazione oppure quando sono via. Come per questa foto che non ricordo più nemmeno quando ho scattato ma che rimaneva in attesa di pubblicazione.
Spero vi piaccia comunque.

I vicoli moderni di Chiavari

Vicoli moderni di Chiavari.
Nella citta’ di Chiavari, uno degli elementi piu’ caratteristici sono certamente gli antichi portici dei vicoli dei vari carruggi.
La bella cittadina, quando ha costruito questo nuovo palazzo in centro, ha continuato su questo stile ammodernizzando un pochino le forme ma mantenendo comunque l’ardesia e i colori bicromi.
Questo ora e’ il palazzo in cui ha sede la Polizia Municipale chiavarese.

Vicoletto di Genova

Vicoletto di Genova.
Non di frequente attraverso i vicoli del centro storico di Genova e non altrettanto di frequente ne scatto qualche foto.
Questa infatti l’avevo realizzata diversi mesi fa, quando ero andato a spasso per le vie del centro, per alcune commissioni.
E’ un vicoletto laterale di via del Campo (che ha pure celebrato De Andre’ con la omonima canzone).
Non certo un luogo turistico per eccellenza ma come chi conosce un po’ la storia recente di Genova fino ad alcune decine di anni fa non ci si poteva nemmeno avvicinare a questi luoghi.
Ora si puo’ passeggiare con animo abbastanza sereno, almeno di giorno, e godere di questi scorci rubati.

Le scritte luminose nei vicoli di Genova

Le scritte luminose nei vicoli di Genova.
Erano diversi anni che non facevo un giro per Genova ed i suoi vicoli. Una bella occasione per fotografare le vie più anguste del centro storico.
In uno dei vicoletti ho notato delle scritte luminose, che però la mattina non erano luminose, con scritto: socialità, creatività ed altre parole.
Ho cercato e ho trovato che era stata una iniziativa dei Civ del centro storico che si chiamava Parole Luminose (su mentelocale.it qualche informazione aggiuntiva).
