Bún thang in Vietnam, a dish made with meat and eggs. Another delicious Vietnamese dish made with noodles, meat and eggs. To tell the truth, there are more dishes in the photo, which I think I've already written separate posts about, but the one I ate was the one in the foreground. Rice noodles, in broth, with meat (what I've heard called Vietnamese mortadella) and eggs (like an omelette cut into fettuccine). It wasn't bad, if I remember correctly!

Spiagge da sogno: Vinh Nam Chong Bay in Vietnam. Una delle spiagge piu’ belle che ho fotografato in questo paese, sfortunatamente senza poterla visitare. La spiaggia si trova lungo la strada che collega la citta’ di Da Nang con quella di Hue. Una strada panoramica che si inerpica sulla montagna che sovrasta la citta’ vietnamita. Una vista eccezionale e questa spiaggia, con annesso resort a cinque stelle.

La Cattedrale di Hanoi. La Cattedrale di San Giuseppe, un edificio religioso che non mi aspettavo di trovare in Vietnam. Se pero’ devo dire tutta la verita’ ne ho trovate, qua e la’, di chiese cristiane in questo paese che per diversi anni e’ stato sotto il controllo francese.
Salone della tomba di Tu Duc a Hue. Nella famosissima citta’ vietnamita di Hue, oltra alla cittadella imperiale, ci sono molti altri monumenti da visitare. Questa foto mi piace molto soprattutto per la successione delle porte finestre che lasciano entrare un poco di luce in questo ambiente molto raccolto.
Purtroppo c’è poco su Wikipedia in italiano e poco, a dire la verità, anche in inglese. Vi lascio e spero vi bastino le tante e belle foto che ho scattato.

Banh Cuon Hanoi. Non riesco piu’ a ricordare molto di questo piatto ordinato ad Hanoi. Sono dei fogli di pasta di riso conditi con dei gamberetti essiccati. Cercando su internet ho trovato che questo piatto sembra un pochino influenzato dalla cucina francese in quanto questi fogli sottili ricordano le crepe francesi. Di solito si trovano come rotolini o involtini (rolls) con all’interno carne e funghi. Accompagnati normalmente con salsa di pesce ed erbe. Come dice il nome stesso questo piatto era di hanoi, nel Nord del Vietnam.

Pesce alla griglia in Vietnam. Un mix di cucina vietnamita con la preparazione giapponese style, con il grill al tavolo. A dire la verità il polpo è molto usato in Vietnam ma la preparazione self-service è una cosa proveniente dal Giappone (o forse dalla Korea dove l’avevo già visto diversi anni fa). Nel mezzo del tavolo c’è un braciere a gas; te lo accendono e tu o il cameriere vi pone quello che hai ordinato. Pesce o cerne che sia. Poi, non so se era perché il locale non era pieno, la cameriera passava di tanto in tanto per controllare la cottura. Un pochino duretto ma comunque apprezzabile per il gusto. Leggermente piccante, tutto lo è in Vietnam, ma accettabile anche per me che non ne sono abituale estimatore e consumatore. Poi, se volete, ne portano sempre da aggiungere a volontà!

La colazione in un famoso hotel di Da Nang in Vietnam. Vi mando un buongiorno con una foto che ho scattato qualche tempo fa in Vietnam. Eravamo andati in un albergo a cinque stelle per fare la colazione e passare un paio d’ore di relax. Purtroppo non ricordo il nome dell’hotel (forse chi mi segue su Instagram si ricorda che vi avevo gia’ postato una foto da li’) ma era veramente bello.

The famous Sa Pa station in Vietnam. One of the most convenient ways to get to the famous region in the North of Vietnam is the night train. Unfortunately, the train does not arrive in the town but you have to stop about fifty kilometers away. In the village of Sa Pa there is still the station and it is very beautiful to visit. Obviously, you can also notice, the French-influenced style (Liberty?) is very characteristic and makes this building one of the monuments of the town. It is the station from which the rack railway departs that takes you to the cable car to the top of Phan Xi Pang, the highest mountain in all of Indochina.

Typical rickshaws in the city of Hoi An in Vietnam. One of the most typical means of transport for tourists in Vietnamese and Asian tourist cities in general is the rickshaw. In the town of Hoi An, a very famous tourist destination famous for lanterns, there are dozens and dozens of these pedal carts with which tourists can tour the town whizzing around, comfortably seated on board. Riso fritto con verdure in Vietnam. Un classico della cucina asiatica e’ il fried rice con verdure anche se questo non ne e’ il piu’ classico esempio. Infatti, normalmente, il piatto appare un pochino diverso e le verdure normalmente sono gia’ mescolate con il tutto. Ora non ricordo se e’ stata una mia richiesta oppure se il piatto era arrivato gia’ preparato cosi’. Se cercate nel sito troverete altre foto, sicuramente piu’ interessanti.
