Una bancarella con spiedini di carne a Sa Pa in Vietnam.
Questa foto è della scelta di vari tipi di carne che potevano essere acquistati in questa bancarella.
Parliamo sempre, ovviamente, di street food (che è il principale veicolo di acquisto e consumo di cibo in Vietnam); si sceglievano i vari tipi di carne (maiale, manzo, pollo, gamberetti e qualche verdura e funghetti) e te li cucinavano in un barbecue che a dire la verità sembrava anche improvvisato (anche se vi lavoravano almeno tre persone).
L’importante era scegliere bene: il primo pezzo che mi ispirava e che avrei scelto erano interiora…

Chicken feet in Sa Pa, Vietnam.
This type of food, which is not so popular in our area, can be found all over Asia.
Even in Italy they used to eat them and make soup (and I think they are still made) but they always make a bit of an impression on me when I see them.
These were on a table in Vietnam, in the Sa Pa region, from which they chose the cuts of meat (this is actually a big word – better to say the pieces of meat) to grill.
Some were already on skewers ready to be cooked.

Grigliata mista a Sa Pa.
Una buona parte dello street food vietnamita è costituito da pietanze grigliate corre in fornelli improvvisati.
Ci sono motorini che girano che sul portapacchi hanno tutto: vetrina, griglia, piatti e guidatore (cuoco).
Questo era un posto molto più chic (tra virgolette) in quanto era all’interno di un giardino.
All’ingresso c’era un bel tavolo con tutti i tagli di carne e verdure da scegliere per essere grigliati.
Questo è il risultato finale (ovviamente non c’è solamente la mia carne ma anche quella della Dao).
Se guardate bene, c’è anche una parte che a me fa un po’ orrore: la zampa di gallina (di cui vi ho già scritto un post here).
Il resto della carne: manzo, maiale, bacon, interiora ed un würstel.
