Casablanca.

Casablanca venne fondata nel 1575 come “Casa Branca” (“casa bianca”) dai portoghesi, che avevano distrutto la città di Anfa, che sorgeva nello stesso luogo, nel 1515. I portoghesi infine abbandonarono la città nel 1755, dopo l’aumentare degli attacchi da parte delle tribù musulmane circostanti, le quali ripresero il territorio.
